Summary
We are searching for a motivated Accountant/Bookkeeper who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. The Accountant/Bookkeeper should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.
To be a successful Accountant/Bookkeeper you should have an understanding of basic payroll and accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel AND QuickBooks. You should be trustworthy, reliable, organized and efficient.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Process customer invoices daily
· Set up new customer accounts
· Manage Accounts Receivable/collections
· Process Accounts Payable invoices and W-9 verification for new vendors
· Process weekly Accounts Payable check run and monitor when invoices are due
· Asset Management process and reporting
· Daily bank deposits and cash application
· Process, reconcile credit card payments and code to proper account
· Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed
· Process monthly bank reconciliations
· Assist with financial statement review
· Custom reports: cashflow, customer life cycle, collections, aging, etc.,
· Job & labor costing with reporting
· Payroll and commission reporting
· Accounts payable
· Accounts receivable
· Expense reports
· Recordkeeping
· Account reconciliation
· Invoice processing
· Running errands (bank deposits, etc.)
· Data entry
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. An Associate’s degree in Accounting may be considered with the right experience.
· 5 years professional experience in accounting and finance
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop
· Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
· Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with clients, management, customers, vendors, etc.,
· Able to work as a team player
· Open to development of skills and knowledge
· Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
· Excellent customer service
Experience
· Managed multiple clients/companies (Preferred)
· Accounts payable: 5 years (Preferred)
· Accounting/Bookkeeping: 5 years (Preferred)
· QuickBooks: 5 years (Preferred)
· General ledger: 5 years (Preferred)
· Accounts receivable: 5 years (Preferred)
