Key Functions and Responsibilities

1. Assist in the research of questionable transactions by auditors during and post field work.

2. Research late vendor invoices to ensure prompt payment.

3. Verify for accuracy transactions in the bank statement against the reconciliation performed by the accounting manager.

4. Research and reconciles the balance sheet accounts monthly.

5. Assist CFO with organization of weekly tasks; follow up on calls as needed.

6. Complete special projects as needed and other various duties as assigned in support of the overall department goals.

7. Review and initial millage and expense reimbursement documents submitted for accuracy before giving them to the accounting manager for processing.

8. Assist in the analysis of monthly financial statements by looking for variances between actual and budgets.

9. Prepare assigned monthly journal entries and schedules in preparation for monthly financial statements.

10. Exercise sound, independent judgment and function independently in unexpected or stressful situations.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or 6 years job-related experience preferably in accounting or finance; or, any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides that required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Previous work experience in the administration of fiscal matters
  • Proficient with computer programs with the ability to prioritize, organize work and make frequent exceptions

Job Type - Full Time

Salary - $35,000 - $46,000
