Legal Assistant
Our client is a boutique law firm representing individuals and businesses across multiple practice areas, including financial services; Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions; Litigation and Arbitration; Immigration; and Real Estate, Zoning and Land Use.
We are seeking Legal Assistants with experience supporting multiple attorneys in fast-paced business litigation and IP practices working on federal and state court cases. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Coral Gables office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation, filing, and service of pleadings.
- Filing and serving case documents in compliance with applicable rules and judicial procedures.
- Updated electronic files of cases on firm’s document management system. Coordinating hearings, depositions, mediations, deadlines, and meetings with opposing counsel, court, clients, etc.
- Act liaison among all parties for scheduling and sharing information and calendaring discovery and case deadlines under applicable rules of procedure.
- Binders, working files, and working drafts of correspondence, discovery, basic motions, responses, and notices.
- Bates labeling, preparing discovery documents for electronic production, and pulling case dockets, case law, and statutes.
Bilingual is a plus, but not a requirement.
