JOB SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for providing food and beverage service to all our guests.
JOB DUTIES
Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
Handle difficult situations effectively.
Take orders from guests and beverage orders from servers.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.
Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
Prepare garnishes for drinks.
Clear and reset tables in bar area.
Present drink menus, make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar supervisor.
Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
Attend work on time as scheduled.
Follow hotel grooming and dress standards.
Minimize safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
Support the environmental commitments by having the knowledge, skills, and values to be a leader in the global goal of “greening” the hospitality industry.
Nametag must be worn at all times.
Punch clock in and, ready to work no earlier than five minutes prior to the shift.
Report to Food & Beverage Supervisor before ending work shift.
Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent
Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.
Must work well with or without direct supervision.
Previous bartending experience required.
Excellent oral communication skills required.
Positive interpersonal skills required.
Must be neat and well groomed at all times.
Needs to be flexible, self-motivated, and positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and management.
Must be able to maintain proper certificates or Training to serve Alcohol.
