What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Preparer - Temp to hire position at HRP CPAS?
FULL TIME POSITION - TEMP TO HIRE
We are a CPA firm located in SW Las Vegas looking for a key player on our growing team. This role involves working in office Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. During busy season (Mar-Apr & Sept/Oct) some half days on Saturday may be required. It is important for this utility player to multitask and handle strict deadlines.
60% Tax Preparation
- Prepare Individual and Corporate tax returns - 2 years experience
- Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Prosystems, CCH, and QuickBooks/QB Online experience a major plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills – ease of communication with staff and partners within the firm, as well as clients via email and/or calls with the ability to assist with client questions
- Strong organization skills, with ability to multi-task and handle multiple returns throughout the season within a growing firm
40% Administrative
-Mailings
-Process federal and state extensions through e filing system
-Make client folders and scan original tax data
-Process client tax returns and distribute them securely
-Keep track of office supplies
-Create excel tracking sheets for tax department
