Education
1.Required
a)Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field of science as approved. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in other disciplines with at least 30 credit hours of college course work in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field of science as approved.

b.Experience
1.Required
a)Five years of increasingly more responsible work in regulatory related activities for wastewater programs, such as NPDES permit compliance and negotiations; Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs); development of new regulations or statutes; and other Clean Water Act (CWA) activities
b)Experience working in a team environment, using quality principles and participative management
2.Desired
a)Experience in Federal or State CWA regulatory programs
b)Experience in water quality assessment and monitoring programs
c.Training Levels
Personnel in this category are fully qualified at Grade 9 with appropriate BS degree and 5 years of experience. While a fully qualified selection is desired, the following training levels and years of experience are established for personnel who are not fully qualified:
Grade 9a – BS degree and 4 years relevant experience
Grade 9b – BS degree and 3 years relevant experience
Grade 9c – BS degree and 2 years relevant experience
Grade 9d – BS degree and 1 year relevant experience
Grade 9e – BS degree no experience
An advanced degree in an appropriate discipline will be evaluated for additional experience and further advancement in training levels.
