What are the responsibilities and job description for the Proposal specialist position at HRST, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY : The primary responsibility of this position is to generate standard product proposals.
Essential Functions :
Product leads :
o Prioritize opportunities that are developed by others that require proposals.
o Manage opportunities to ensure every product lead is addressed.
o Maintain NetSuite system to follow up with the individual who generated the lead.
o Identify and implement improvements to the proposal templates and process
o Develop a database of proposal templates, cost models, and specifications to expedite proposal creation and ensure consistency
Product proposals :
o Prepare and send proposals to clients.
o Coordinate with Sourcing Manager to obtain vendor pricing.
o Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and region managers to gather accurate technical information and ensure proposals are aligned with client expectations.
o Follow-up on proposals with internal generators
o Work independently with minimal supervision, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality proposals under pressure.
Act as go-to authority in the use of ConnectWise CPQ
formerly ConnectWise Sell (CWS) :
o Act as HRST’s liaison with ConnectWise.
o Identify, develop, and implement CWS features for the benefit of HRST.
o Train other HRST employees on CWS.
- Proven history of striving for deeper understanding and knowing the Why.
- Ability to act upon client requests in a positive, professional manner.
- Must be capable of balancing several opportunities simultaneously.
- Functional abilities in NetSuite and ConnectWise Sell.
- Excellent written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and meeting deadlines
Education and / or Experience :
- Associate degree or two years of experience in a related field, like technical writing
- Experience reading layout drawings or general arrangement drawings is favorable
