Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a Remote Assignment.
Position Description: The Senior DevOps Engineer will support the design and creation of technical solutions from functional specifications for complex projects, analyze the impact of vendor-provided updates and upgrades to the system, and program solutions for a family of Health IT systems in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at NIWC Atlantic and other DoD Clients.

- This position will help support new initiatives and contribute to building new technical capabilities that align with product roadmaps.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of various technologies and demonstrates proficiency in supporting a wide array of diverse solutions.
- The role is expected to follow architectural best practices and build scale and efficiencies that enable future business growth.
- Work with customers to understand their business processes and requirements.
- Help Translate requirements into technical solutions.
Desired Skills:
- Hands-on experience with AKS and EKS administration, Helm configurations, and Containers (Docker, etc.).
- Experienced in source code management and implementing a branching strategy (GitHub).
- Scripting skills with multiple languages (e.g. PowerShell, Bash).
- 3-5 years of hands-on Linux Administration and Windows Server experience in a production environment using RedHat.
- Proficiency in conducting rigorous testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving various technical issues, as well as delivering technical support.
- Coordinate testing, upgrades, and configuration of systems and services to ensure changes comply with change management procedures.
- Experience with JBoss and application support is a plus.
- Proficiency in team collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
Position Requirements:
Education and Experience: This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or Engineering in a related field or advanced degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience, preferably using health IT tools and products.
Clearance: This position requires a Secret clearance.
Additional Notes:
- Responsibilities occasionally require working evenings and weekends and with little advanced notice.
