HSH Certified Public Accountants is searching for an experienced, ambitious, and dedicated Tax/Accounting Associate to join our Kidron, Ohio public accounting team.

Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of taxation, bookkeeping, and financial statements. Previous work experience, along with a degree in Accounting and a CPA qualification is preferred. You will play a vital role in helping our clients manage their financial operations, ensure legal compliance and accuracy in their financials.

Responsibilities:

• Build quality relationships with clients to advise and provide tax and financial consultations.
• Handle routine day-to-day client questions and correspondence.
• Review accounts for appropriate postings and reconcile balance sheet accounts to supporting data.
• Perform various bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Obtain an understanding of the payroll process and how it relates to year-end information and reporting.
• Prepare individual, partnership, corporate and other types of tax returns.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including cash flows for multiple clients.
• Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget.

Requirements and Skills:

• 2-4 years of prior experience.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of accounting and financial procedures, federal tax accounting and compliance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality of firm and client information.
• Ability to work well with and learn from others.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• CPA certification preferred.
• High attention to detail.
• Passion for doing meaningful work, accountability for actions, integrity, and professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
