Summary:
Performs all activities related to credentialing and re-credentialing, including, but not limited to, determining an applicant's eligibility for membership and privileges; analyzing applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy; timely processing applications for membership and/or privileges; and ensuring hospital standards, state and federal law, and accrediting standards are met. Facilitates and manages department meetings, as necessary. Supports effective physician and advanced practice professional PPE processes.
Qualifications:
Education
High School Diploma or GED - Required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree Health Care Administration or related field- Preferred
Experience
3 years Clerical - Preferred
3 years Clinic/Physician Practice Preferred or 3 years Hospital and/or Healthcare Related - Preferred
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Certification by NAMSS (either CPMSM or CPCS) – Preferred
