Summary:
Performs a variety of technical procedures, as ordered by a physician, involving the utilization of radio nuclides to ensure production of quality images for diagnostic and therapeutic treatment. Assumes responsibility for the Radiation Safety program and ensures compliance with state requirements.
Qualifications:
Education
Graduate of an approved program of Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
Completion of a Radiation Safety Course within one year from hire date is required.
Experience
1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and /or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required.
Licensed Radiographer in IL if working in Illinois.
Licensed Radiographer in WI if working in Wisconsin.
