Overview

As Sr. Talent Management Manager of HSM Solutions, you will lead and oversee the development and implementation of talent management strategies and initiatives and have oversight responsibilities for all Talent Acquisition and Corporate Philanthropy initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating and executing talent programs that support organizational goals, employee development, and workforce planning. This role reports to the CHRO of HSM Solutions and will lead a team of 3-5 HR professionals.

HSM specializes through its subsidiaries, in the manufacturing of components for furniture, bedding, transportation, packaging, automotive, and healthcare industries. We also design and construct automated production machinery for these industries. We likely have manufactured something you use every day like sofa or bed springs, pool noodles, recliner mechanisms, packaging supplies, fabricated sofa cushions, bus seats, and much more.

Responsibilities

1. Talent Strategy

  • Design, implement and continuously improve a comprehensive talent management strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent.

2. Succession Planning

  • Lead succession planning efforts to identify and develop high-potential employees for key roles.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure a robust pipeline of future leaders.

3. Performance Management

  • Design and implement market competitive and automated performance management that is fit-for-purpose.
  • Provide guidance on setting performance expectations, goal alignment, and continuous feedback.

4. Leadership Development

  • Design and deliver leadership development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of current and future leaders.
  • Identify opportunities for leadership growth and mentorship.

5. Employee Development

  • Implement initiatives to support ongoing employee development, including effective onboarding, training programs and learning resources.
  • Evaluate and recommend external learning opportunities.

6. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts to attract top talent.

7. Employee Engagement

  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee sentiment.

8. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Lead efforts to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Implement initiatives to promote equity and belonging across the organization.

9. Workforce Planning

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess current and future workforce needs.
  • Develop plans to address skills gaps and talent shortages.

 10. Data Analytics

  • Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of talent management programs.
  • Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in talent management or a related field. Proven experience in designing and implementing successful talent management programs.  Strong knowledge of performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading and managing high performing HR professionals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Work Environment:  This role will be based in the Hickory or Huntersville Corporate office.
