Job Summary:
The Quality Control Manager directs, and coordinates activities concerned with the production of Huali Floor's flooring products by performing the following duties personally or through the Supervisor or Team Leads. 
 
Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. 
  • Plans and directs quality audit activities and establishes quality control procedures to ensure that the products meet customers' specs.
  • Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. 
  • Reviews and analyzes the production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems. 
  • Develops and implements test methods and procedures for incoming raw materials and product physical properties to eliminate quality issues and improve the accuracy of test results. 
  • Advises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or quality problems. 
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves quality check data. 
  • Preparing quality weekly reports by using, analyzing, and summarizing quality check data and reporting to the management team.
  • Manages the team and workflow in the Quality Control department. Collaborate with other managers and team members to accomplish the required task.
  • Establish quality departmental scheduling to ensure coverage for quality checks at every internal department.
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of quality issues and customer complaints.

Education and/or Experience  
Bachelor's degree (B. A.); or 2 years to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Skills                     
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. 

 
Mathematical Skills                     
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 

Reasoning Ability                     
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

Computer Skills 
The employee must be comfortable working in Microsoft Office 365 environment, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  NetSuite experience is preferred but not required.  

Work Environment 
  • Physical Demands – The employee will occasionally stand, walk, climb, or balance; Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee will frequently reach with hands and arms; the employee will regularly sit; use hands to feel and; Talk or hear.  
  • Lifts Weight or Exerts Force Work Environment - The employee will occasionally lift a maximum of 25 pounds.  
  • Visions - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  
  • Work Environment - The employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock.
