RPCA Quality Assurance and Review Manager
Job Description
Primary responsibilities
Independently manage the review process for 300 plus retirement plans – compliance testing, calculations, and government filings
Review of plan document amendments and restatements along with related notices and administrative forms, as requested
Review of DOL and IRS correction program filings
Build and maintain staff relationships to facilitate open dialogue for training and ongoing expectations for the accuracy and quality of work
Instruction and training for RPCA staff, as needed
Assistance in monitoring new legislation affecting retirement plans and communicating changes to RPCA staff and plan sponsors
Regular review of RPCA compliance, reporting, and related communications to identify deficiencies and assistance with implementation of any suggested changes
Consultation with actuaries, as needed, for Cash Balance and Defined Benefit retirement plans
Required Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Minimum of 12 plus years of experience in Defined Contribution retirement plan administration, consulting, document design, and preparation
Working knowledge of various plan designs for PS, 401(k), DB, CB, MPP, ESOP, and 457 plans
Professional certification/designation (ERPA, QPA, QKA, CPA)
Working experience with Relius and Datair plan documents
Working experience with Datair and FT William administration and reporting
Experienced in staff training with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently, accurate, and detail oriented
Ability to establish priorities as related to deadlines
Organized and energetic professional able to multi-task
