Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Human Resources Coordinator is an entry level role with an opportunity to be trained and mentored by a seasoned HR professional. This role is a non-exempt position that will support a distributed workforce with HRIS system administration, recruiting, reporting, benefits, relocations, service awards, and time and attendance.
Duties and Responsibilities
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with position and requisition creation, transfers, promotions, and terms in our HR system, Success Factors
- Onboard new hires in our HR system and assist with direct deposits, taxes, benefit enrollment, etc.
- Conduct new hire orientation
- Route wage garnishments to our Service Desk/ADP
- Respond to unemployment claims
- Assist with new hire drug and background checks
- Conduct 30/60/90-day reviews with new employees
- Conduct exit interviews
- Report on new hires, terms, headcount, and open positions
- Tracks status of candidates in our HRIS
- Implement/Coordinate engagement activities
- Manage service awards
- Ensure terminations are being done in a timely manner
- Assist with employee compliance training
- Assist with resolving employee pay issues
- Help track leave of absences (FMLA, STD, LTD, and assist with MetLife requests
- Facilitate employee recognition events, service awards, birthday recognition
- Administer leave of absences such as FMLA and short-term disability
- Administer employee relocation program
- Assist with acquisition support activities
- Support employee engagement initiative

Skills and Experience
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- New college graduate in HR or related field.
- Must be a self-directed, hands-on solid HR Generalist.
- Ability to maintain integrity in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Strong computer experience required, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Must be self-motivated, and a problem solver.
- Must have good time management skills and be able to prioritize duties.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, but also sensitive situations where information must be shared on a ‘need to know” basis.
- PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
- SAP and or ADP experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel on occasional business-related trips; ability to move to various locations within the Company; ability to communicate; ability to work on a personal computer or other related equipment as required.
