Job Overview
The Cycle Counter is responsible for performing all functions necessary to maintain accurate inventory, by cycle counting, performing other miscellaneous audits and investigation of count discrepancies.
This position requires a strong reliance on count accuracy, process control, product monitoring, movement coordination and reporting in order to control inventory.
A Day In The Life
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform cycle counts and miscellaneous inventory audits to ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
- Ensure products are in proper locations, conduct searches to locate missing inventory
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
- Research and perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements
- Execute assignments accurately and timely in a safe manner
- Prepare various reports relative to the cycle counting process
- Comply with a company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What will help you thrive in this role?
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :
- 1-2 years’ experience in warehousing and forklift operation is required
- Able to walk, hear, see, and have full use of both hands.
- Able to lift 5 - 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions from oral or written communications.
- Excellent math and analytical skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication
- Understanding of basic inventory control procedures
- Computer experience in Microsoft Excel is desired
- Knowledge of SAP WMS preferred
- Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Current certification on warehouse equipment is desired.
- Requires High School Diploma or equivalent
