We're presenting an exciting opportunity for a Controller. The controller position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, ensuring consistent and accurate adherence to IFRS principals, accurate financial reports and adequate internal controls.

General Overview of What You'll be Doing:
- Manage the accounting operations, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Sales & Use taxes, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable.
- Develop, document, monitor and ensure adherence to internal controls designed to safeguard company assets.
- Develop a high performing team through coaching, mentoring and training.
- Manage the month end close process, ensuring accurate & timely submission of required financial reports.
- Provide quality written reports on variance analysis each month.
- Ensure proper workpapers for all balance sheet accounts are maintained, reviewed and accurate.
- Manage the assembly of all supporting documentation required by internal and external auditors.
- Manage and maintain accounting and related software tools.
- Assist in the development of quality budgets and forecasts.
- Lead the accounting for inventory, average cost calculation and assist merchandising with pricing decisions.
- Ensure accurate entry of accounting balances into Corporate accounting systems
- Assist with development of transfer pricing methods and amounts.
- Monitor collection efforts and work with Accounts receivable team to minimize days sales outstanding.
- Monitor billing status, ensuring that all billings are completed as soon as possible.
What We're Looking For:
- Ability to understand and follow legal requirements but pragmatism to allow for judgement in interpretation of those requirements.
- Must have solid experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- 5 years of progressive experience.
- 2 years' experience in public accounting.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Supervisory experience (specifically: GL, AR, AP, Sales/use tax)
- Leadership training
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized, a reliable self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Must be detail oriented and show a high degree of accuracy and speed
- Budgeting, Forecasting, Planning
