Job Description
The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for maintaining a highly professional environment, ensuring a collaborative relationship with patients and physicians. The MA will assist with the non-clinical tasks required to ensure smooth patient access and flow including scheduling patients which can include follow up office visits, imaging and lab work, preparation of appropriate chart elements. The responsibilities of this position would also include pre-authorization process and acting as a liaison between the providers and patient.
Skills
Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Working Knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system ‘EMR’
Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates
Education
High school graduate or equivalent; Graduate of Medical Assistant program or one year previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.
Preferred: Associate or Bachelors’ degree in healthcare-related field
Minimum one (1) year previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment

3 month possible TTH M-F 8am-5pm 2 locations – rotating schedule – 520 Superior, Suite 150, Newport Beach - 4870 Barranca Parkway, Suite 110, Irvine Phlebotomy Certified Tech is preferred.
