The Role

We seek an experienced Community Manager to join our newly opened conferencing center. As a vital member you will be responsible for developing the business and managing daily administration and operations. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You must have prior experience managing teams and business accounts while developing a rapport with the customer base.

The Opportunity

The multi-floor conference center is apt for versatile businesses, private meetings and seminars. The education and training rooms are equipped with state of the art IT infrastructure, to facilitate online networking and business meetings. Ideally located off freeways 90 and 290 in the heart of Schaumburg.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations of the co-working space, handle facility management and customer service and community engagement.
  • Ensure smooth operation of all facilities including maintenance, cleaning, security, and technology infrastructure.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new members, including orientation, billing, and ongoing customer service.
  • Develop and implement community engagement initiatives to foster a collaborative and positive work environment, including events, workshops, and networking opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with co-working space clients, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing and operations to achieve business objectives and growth targets.
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of co-working staff
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on co-work space operations, including occupancy rates, revenue and customer feedback.
  • Implement and drive communication campaigns to align with corporate strategies.
  • Organize and participate in industry relevant events to build community and boost brand awareness.
  • Build and manage relationships with top tier business specialists and customers in the industry.
  • Develop data driven story telling along with engaging text, image and video content for online articles, websites, social media accounts and corporate literature.
  • Support the Business Development team by responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, PR and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Hospitality or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, administrative and office management profiles
  • Proven track record of success in facilities management, customer service and community engagement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with co-working space members.
  • Experience in developing and implementing community engagement initiatives, events & workshops
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform business decisions.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in co-working space management
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Availability to work non-standard hours as needed
  • Ability to commute/relocate reliably
  • Salary: 70K to 90K (to commensurate with demonstrated experience)
  • 8 hour shift | Monday to Friday | Full Time | Onsite
  • Prior experience of working in a similar set up at Co-working and Conferencing centers is a bonus
