Assistant Controller

Hueber Feed is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to financial management.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

2. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

3. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to support business planning and decision-making.

4. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

5. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

7. Provide financial guidance and support to management, including variance analysis and cost-benefit assessments.

8. Assist with audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

9. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.

**Requirements:**

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

5. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

6. Experience in the agricultural industry is a plus.

**Reporting Structure:**

This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Hueber Feed Ownership.

**Working Hours:**

Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Starting at 65,000, pay based on experience
