Echostar has an exciting opportunity for an Financials Systems Manager who will be responsible for administration and stewardship over our suite of Oracle Financials Systems and project management for Oracle Financials related initiatives. This position will be located at our office in Gaithersburg, MD. This role will be a close partner with the rest of the financial systems team, the accounting team, our shared services team as well as Finance and IT. Additionally, and just as importantly, in order for us to be successful, this role must also be a close partner who can successfully interact with the other teams – Executive Team, Operations, Internal Audit, and Subsidiary Management teams to name a few – in order to understand their strategy, concerns and issues to ensure that we are appropriately planning and executing against our financial systems roadmap. Responsibilities: Lead project teams, working directly with management and key stakeholders to assess, design and implement new financial system technology for business solutions, particularly, but not limited to our suite of Oracle Financials systems. In conjunction with IT, Accounting and Finance, maintain and enhance the existing Oracle Cloud EPM (Hyperion) application and associated processes to ensure the integrity of the global corporate data across all environments. Ownership over the Oracle FDMEE/EDMCS interfaces, mapping and validation processes, and custom scripts to maintain the integrity of data loaded through FDMEE/EDMCS, while supporting system integrations with the corresponding ancillary applications. Build, maintain and update financial reports, data forms, grids and other such objects within the suite of Oracle Financials applications. Assist in development and continued maintenance of XBRL taxonomy using Workiva WDesk. Also, assist in tagging of 10-Q and 10-K filings in addition to working on process improvement initiatives to reduce time and improve quality of submissions. Perform training and end-user education on system functionality including interaction of SmartView with the corresponding Oracle Financials application (EPM, EBS, etc). Engages with broader financial system team to ensure appropriate governance and maintenance of financials systems, including timely incident management, maintenance and controls. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field 8 years of related IT and business/industry work experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience 3 years progressive project management and Oracle Financials applications experience. Preferred Qualifications: Project management Collaborative, results-oriented and proven leader in the IT arena with solid IT management experience and breadth of experience across IT functions. Experience of a range of technologies, preferably: Oracle EBS, Oracle Financials Cloud, Hyperion, Oracle EPM, Workiva and other enterprise level packaged software that supports business processes in Accounting, Finance, Legal, Tax, HR, Audit/Compliance, Manufacturing, and Facilities) General project management skills to balance priorities and communication between large number of differing stakeholders (Finance users and management, extended stakeholders, internal and external IT teams) across multiple departments and geographical locations. Knowledge and expertise in project management, program management methodologies and tools. Proven skills and experience delivering, managing and controlling large projects Strong skills in prioritization, organization, problem solving, decision-making, time management, mentoring and planning Strong oral and written communication skills.
