As a quality technician, you will work with multiple levels of plant personnel to ensure the highest level of quality and food safety for all products out of the Fulton plant. This position offers opportunities to grow with experience, challenging assignments, and continuous learning. The quality technician will report directly to the Fulton Quality Manager. Work safely utilizing Job Safety Analysis and Standard Operating Procedures. Work with and across multiple levels of manufacturing to ensure the highest level of quality and food safety. Troubleshoot gauge and product quality issues that arise. Conduct quality and food safety audits and inspect product against established specifications. Complete and initiate quality holds as needed and manage a quality hold database. Navigate BPCS and TWS to track product and move product to and from hold inventory locations. Effectively use EtQ “Excellence Through Quality” software to assist with customer complaints, document control, audits and corrective actions. The plant utilizes SPC software (HAQ) to continually evaluate our process capability. The quality technician will monitor HAQ data to assure that production is complying with all requirements and meeting specifications. Maintain and create regulatory and company required reports and documentation. Assist with the company EWO (Experimental Work Order) process as needed. Meet all company’s requirements and follow all established policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Must have high interpersonal skills, along with strong communication skills with both internal and external personnel. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Experience and knowledge in Foodservice and/or paperboard manufacturing preferred. Understanding of SPC and DOE is preferred. Strong problem solving and reasoning skills.
