We look for colleagues who Care, Dare and Deliver. ⠀ DESCRIPTION The primary expectation is that a Thermoforming operator can monitor, troubleshoot and maintain operation of the extrusion, forming, trim, and full pack out processes for the rotary lid line thermoformer. The operator must be capable of restarting the lid line if the process is interrupted and starting the lid line from a cold start up. The operator must be capable of extruding, forming and trimming and packaging acceptable product. The operator must be able to maintain the tooling for the line. Description of Major Responsibilities Responsible for the operation for all systems of the rotary lid line to include, but not limited to material feed, extrusion & die, rotary former, trim press, grinder, TPI and packing systems. Start up, monitor and maintain operation of all system for the lid line including the ancillary equipment. Ability to trouble shoot and resolve process issues for all systems of the lid line. Ability to restart all systems in the lid line from a process interruption or a cold start. Ability to disassemble service and reinstall all forming tooling Monitors and records results of product samples on a scheduled basis to ensure quality standards are met and maintained. Makes process adjustments as needed. Direct assistance to maintenance in the troubleshooting and problem resolution for the line. All other duties assigned. REQUIREMENTS Physical Requirements Individual works in a manufacturing environment. Individual will work a set schedule including weekend work. Requires prolonged standing (60%) with occasional walking (35%) and sitting (5%). Individual will operate Carton Sealers, conveyor systems, Davis/STD. Extruders, forming and trim press stations, Conair loaders and blenders, Labeling equipment, grinders, vacuum pumps, and scales. Requires twisting at waist, bending/stooping, squatting/kneeling, climbing ladders and stairs. Individual will lift and carry up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis. Requires reaching above, at and below shoulders Qualifications Basic educational level background normally acquired through the completion of high school level programs leading to a diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to see, read, distinguish letters and/or symbols. Requires near/far acuity and color vision. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to identify raw materials Must be able to operate a forklift truck and obtain annual certification. Requires above average mechanical aptitude.
