Summary
Under the supervision of the Community Based Services Manager, the Newport Mesa (NM) Family Resource Center (FRC) Program Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the Family Resource Center. The NMFRC Program Supervisor coordinates service providers, supervises staff, compiles statistical and financial data for various reports, coordinates governance and policy procedure development, and prepares and monitors program budget. In addition, the NMFRC Program Supervisor also facilitates community involvement in the CEAC, performs outreach to community businesses and schools, educates FRC services within the community, initiates outreach to new partners and service providers, and addresses public inquiries regarding services, procedures, operations and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program administration
Supervise and coordinate community-based client referrals, staff, and programs with FRC partners to ensure services are delivered with sensitivity to the effects of trauma experienced by clients, with an emphasis on emotional and economic self-sufficiency.
Maintain knowledge and expertise in the areas of internal and external community and social programs available to clients, including temporary housing, therapeutic and counseling services, health and wellness, job placement, childcare and transportation assistance, fiscal management, and other relevant referral programs and services.
Coordinates staff training, schedules, and time off requests.
Provide quality assurance for the program (files, paperwork, accurate and complete documentation, timesheets, reimbursements, etc.)
Assist with developing policies, procedures, and safety guidelines in compliance with regulations and in alignment with Human Options mission and core values and the employee handbook.
Provide crisis intervention, assessment, case management, counseling, and referrals to clients as needed.
Supervise, coach, train, evaluate, and develop staff to assure clients are receiving services and referrals in alignment with the principals of Trauma Informed Care.
Master's degree in Social Work, a behavioral science field, or commensurate work experience required.
Two years of advocacy, case management, and/or counseling program administration experience.
One year of experience in the supervision of staff.
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
Knowledge of domestic violence.
Budgeting and contract management experience required.
Complete the 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate certification training post-hire.
