What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator (FT) position at Human Resource ROI?
Job Responsibilities:
- Works in conjunction with Chief Development Officer in promoting Covenant House Texas to the public.
- Compose and update all Covenant House Texas web content on a regular basis with assistance.
- Posts on all Covenant House Texas social media platforms and website on a frequent basis, while staying current with emerging social trends and techniques. Develops online marketing tools for messaging and fundraising.
- Responsible for the creation and publication of e-newsletters and annual report including: generating content and theme, gathering and taking photos, graphics, and articles, develops layout as well as coordinate the print process and mailing with vendors.
- Builds relationships with staff, residents, volunteer groups, Board of Directors, and Guild members to keep informed and help to develop newsworthy stories for web and publications.
- Responsible for consistent branding and messaging with aforementioned groups and correct use of Covenant House Texas logo. Manages the outsourcing of the majority of Covenant House Texas printing needs for quality check, branding, and cost-effectiveness. Maintains relationships with various vendors.
- Creates and designs any print needs materials for special events and notifications; event flyers, invitations, banners, signage, and programs.
- Works with Chief Development Officer, Special Events Manager, and Fundraising Manager to market events and develop all appeals and campaigns.
- Serves as in-house photographer and identifies professional photographers as needed.
- Assists in coordination of Round Table Luncheons.
- Performs any other duties or special projects as directed by the Chief Development Officer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Communications or equivalent.
- Special events experience preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and knowledge of current software and programs are essential for design.
- Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor.
- Requires excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Possesses the ability to work efficiently and independently; adheres to deadlines.
- Must be people-oriented, customer service-oriented, and able to interact easily and comfortably with others.
- Capable of moving and handling heavy objects up to 20 pounds.
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license, and driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
- Flexibility with working hours including some evenings and weekends, as needed.
