the Position Available: Job Coach - Small Group Employment
Location: Based out of the Honesdale and Pike office buildings
Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Transportation: Transportation of Small Group Employment participants is required.
Summary:
As a Job Coach at HRC Inc., you will play a crucial role in providing training and supervision to participants of the Community Integrated Employment program. You'll work directly with individuals at job sites, offering hands-on support and guidance to help them thrive in their roles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on training and support to participants at their job sites, adjusting training as needed.
- Maintain awareness of any challenges during training and report them to the CIE Director for guidance.
- Arrange transportation to and from work sites for participants, assisting them in developing independent transportation skills.
- Communicate participant concerns to appropriate parties, including supervisors, providers, and family members.
- Document, track, and submit information to the CIE Director to meet program funding requirements.
- Implement planned goals and outcomes, keeping accurate documentation and notifying the supervisor of any necessary changes.
- Maintain regular contact with employers to ensure success for both participants and employers, providing ongoing support as needed.
- Ensure that the quality and quantity of work performed meets employer standards.
- Participate in the development of support plans for participants.
- Obtain certifications as required by funding agencies and complete specialized trainings necessary for service delivery.
- Complete additional assignments as assigned by Supervisor/Director.
Physical Demands:
- Requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional use of hands and arms for pushing, handling, feeling, and reaching.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. using proper body mechanics.
- Must recognize and work within physical limitations to reduce risk of injury.
- Ability to request assistance with lifting or transferring when needed.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Occasional exposure to various work settings including moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and office areas.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
Travel: Travel is required for this position.
