Responsibilities and Duties
- Personal Care Attendants provide service to individuals in their own homes and communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and / or other infliction's.
- Assistance includes bathing, exercising, meal planning and preparation, dressing, positioning, transferring / ambulating, feeding, companionship, housekeeping / laundry, personal hygiene / grooming, transportation, shopping / errands / outings, toileting, incontinence care, and ensuring client safety.
- Personal Care Attendants are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills
You MUST be reliable, dependable, and meet all hiring requirements.
All candidates must be able to :
- Be licensed by the Department of Health, VA
- Have a current negative TB test or will be able to obtain one.
