Responsibilities
The Electro-Mechanical Technician, also referred to as a Pharmacy Engineering Technician 3, ensures maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and industry standards.- Evaluates mechanical products to determine cost effectiveness and efficiency
- Oversees and implements prescription drug distribution equipment and recommends design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, reduce cost-to-fill, increase throughput and improve quality.
- Performs and leads tests of related software and equipment to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
- Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.
- Performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment, devices and components.
- Troubleshoot, routinely inspect equipment and electro-pneumatic controls as necessary on automated equipment.
- Reports to Maintenance Supervisor on equipment condition and status as necessary.
- Installs all new equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and computer systems.
- Maintains an extremely clean work environment.
- Reduces machine downtime, improve throughput and overall performance of machines.
- Maintains preventative maintenance schedules by thoroughly documenting all issues, repairs, parts used, recommendations, etc.
Location: This will be 100% on site position. The distribution center is under construction currently. This role will report to the site daily during construction and once it is completed. Candidates MUST live in Orlando, or within a commutable distance.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent, with 2 years experience working in an industrial environment with automated equipment maintenance
- Strong sense of urgency on troubleshooting and repairing equipment for minimal downtime
- Excellent project/assignment completion record
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to travel 10% of the time for educational and related business
- Must be willing to work overtime, some weekends and evenings required based on business needs.
- Must reside in Orlando, or within a commutable distance to the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Electrical License
- Experience with PLC (Programmable logic controller)
