Humana's Strategy Planning team is a small, high-performing group that works closely with senior leadership to establish the future course for the company. In Strategy Planning, you will identify and analyze growth opportunities and work with business leaders to prioritize options and set the long-term strategy agenda. The team has weekly interactions with Humana’s CEO and regularly manages deliverables for Humana’s broader Management Team and Board of Directors. Strategy Planning reports to Humana’s Chief Strategy Officer, who also oversees the Corporate Development and Strategy Operations teams.
The Corporate Strategist role is modeled after those of top-tier management consultancies. Daily activities will include developing industry analyses, building high-level financial or other business models, conducting qualitative analyses and synthesizing findings to create executive-level deliverables and recommendations for Humana’s senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support problem-solving efforts by helping senior leaders define key issues, develop hypotheses and create recommendations
- Develop insights to equip senior leaders with the right data to make informed strategic decisions
- Support cross-functional projects, working with leaders throughout the company to execute complex, high-priority strategic initiatives
- Convert strategy into roadmaps, business cases and projects while prioritizing timelines and ensuring alignment and execution
- Identify the short & long-term impacts of key strategies by assessing qualitative and quantitative data

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of consulting, strategy, or corporate experience OR Master’s degree with business or healthcare exposure
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Familiarity with strategic frameworks and strategy development
- Ability to identify, structure, and solve business problems
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and executive communication skills
- Commitment to accelerated professional and personal growth
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for Humana’s focus on value-based healthcare for seniors
- Experience in the healthcare industry

Location:
Opportunities are located at Humana’s headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky or at sister office located in Washington, DC at 1812 N. Moore in Arlington, VA. Will consider candidates who reside in Chicago, IL or Nashville, TN.
