The Senior Product Owner participates on cross functional teams and is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. This position requires excellent communication skills, a high degree of business acumen, and the ability to collaborate to achieve business priorities.As a Senior Product Owner, you will plan and manage the enhancement and/or integration of the WI Market business products with a special focus on clinical, claims and/or provider contracting. The Senior Product Owner will partner with an agile delivery team & stakeholders to foster an environment of continuous delivery and improvement. You will manage all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to validation to introduction into the WI Market. You serve as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making.
The Senior Product Owner will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. You will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
The Senior Product Owner’s work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Ultimately, a top-notch Product Owner will be results driven and have excellent organizational and leadership skills and be a key thought leader for our stakeholders and customers.
- Conveys product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog.
- Serves as the Agile team’s primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making.
- Create and maintain backlog ownership of work through the product lifestyle.
- Utilizes best practices to create user stories/backlog items and their acceptance criteria.
- Ensure that user stories clearly communicate customer and business needs to the team.
- Encourages innovation and experimentation on teams to drive team engagement.
- Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.

Required Qualifications
3 years of IT experience and/or WI Medicaid claims, provider contracting or clinical systems experience
Solid communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience leading team or project across multiple functions
Experience and knowledge of working in an agile environment
Work-At-Home Requirements
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
