Standard Hours: Evenings 12:30pm to 9:00pm and rotating weekends
Location: In-office
Salary: Starting salary to be negotiated and will be based upon prior experience, references, and education.

Position Summary:
The Humane Society of Central Illinois (HSCI) is seeking interested candidates for an
Animal Care Supervisor position. HSCI is a not for profit (501(c)3) animal welfare organization. HSCI operates one limited intake Animal Shelter in Normal IL. HSCI takes in approximately 1,100 animals annually. The shelter accepts cats, dogs, and small animals (guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, rats, etc) from animal control facilities, other rescues, and the general public.
HSCI is seeking a professional and knowledgeable individual with a passion for animals and bettering the lives of homeless animals. The person hired will be responsible for the day-to-day animal care operations of the shelter and will report to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities include safety, animal care (housing, feeding, medical, enrichment, cleaning protocols), and adoptions for the HSCI animals, as well as supervising staff and volunteers. The manager will also be responsible for championing the HSCI vision, contributing toward setting and achieving operational goals, maintaining records, developing/following HSCI policy & procedures, and compliance with all state/federal laws.

Founded in 1984 the Humane Society of Central Illinois (HSCI) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit animal welfare organization serving the Bloomington-Normal community and surrounding areas.
Working in partnership with our community, we care for, house, and provide adoption services for animals who are looking for their forever homes. Over 1,000 animals are helped annually due to the support of individual donors and volunteers who dedicate countless hours to support our mission.
At HSCI, all animals are treated with compassion and respect. The shelter serves as a haven for homeless animals and an uplifting destination for all pet-lovers and their families, providing services dedicated to the public including adoption, education, and outreach programming.
HSCI has taken a leading role in driving a regional response to the crisis of unwanted and homeless animals by establishing formal relationships with local animal shelters and other rescues, accommodating animals for adoption that might otherwise be euthanized.
