About the team
The Worldpay Chief of Staff function helps to shape the strategic roadmap for the high-growth Merchant Solutions business and directs all operational activities for the President of the Merchant Solutions organization.
The Chief of Staff function supports the President of Worldpay in defining and executing on the strategic initiatives needed to maintain double-digit growth across our nearly $5 Bn revenue business. We work to ensure the Merchant vision cascades effectively throughout the organization and partner with centralized functional teams to execute on the strategic priorities.
The team is responsible for driving impact for the Merchant Solutions business across 4 pillars: Strategic Initiatives, Governance, Employee Engagement, and External Engagement, designing and executing programs to meaningfully advance the Merchant organization.
This Chief of Staff function is new for the organization, allowing the opportunity to build and shape the agenda of the function to best fit the needs of the business.
What You Will Be Doing
- Support the Senior Director of Chief of Staff function on thought leadership of the team and for Merchant Solutions as a whole
- Support in delivering special transformation projects identified as areas of strategic importance to the business, including following up on action items with senior stakeholders as needed
- Undertake autonomous quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to make decisions, pushing through recommendations for business growth
- Proactively identify solutions and actionable insights (e.g., analysis of business performance metrics) that will help support changes to the Merchant business
- Support in driving and creating content for management presentations, dashboards, business reviews and other key meetings (internal and external)
- Build, maintain, and promote positive professional working relationships with senior leaders across various functions
- Manage projects effectively. Create clear project plans, engage network of stakeholders across the org, report on progress, and leverage team to remove blockers as needed
- Liaise with various functions across the business (e.g., Sales, Finance, Go-to-market) and support their analysis of key activity metrics
- Communicate clearly and effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Other related duties assigned as needed
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, or any other related field; or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the business goals, objectives and business operations for a payments company
- Knowledge of financial services industry
- Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios
- Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office, Visio, MS Access, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
- Willingly shares relevant knowledge and expertise to other resources
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
- Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
- Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
