HunaTek is seeking a highly motivated, performance-driven individual with strong cost analysis and program management experience to work closely with our government client in the Northern Virginia area as a Portfolio Lead, Cost Analyst. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, and analytical skills. Financial management and program management experience are also preferred.

Essential Job Functions:
The Portfolio Lead Cost Analyst position will include, but not be limited to, the following capabilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 5 - 10 cost analysts through a large set of program office estimate activities.
- Provide oversight and guidance to junior and mid-level analysts.
- Coordinate across numerous customer sets and be the primary point of contact for cost estimating and analysis within the portfolio.
- Provide quality assurance and consistency of delivery across numerous workstreams.
- Develop accurate and well-thought-out work plans to manage portfolio of 10 - 50 acquisition programs.
- Conduct cost estimate review board briefings to senior leadership.
- Lead, develop, update, and apply mathematical and logical methodologies for estimating program costs.
- Lead, develop, update, manipulate, and maintain cost and affordability models.
- Lead efforts in collecting, normalizing, and analyzing complex data.
- Build and defend budget requirements.
- Forecast future funding needs.
- Evaluate contracting strategy and courses of action.
- Conduct planning for acquisition of capabilities.
- Identify sustainment cost impacts of acquisition decisions.
- Identify interface maintenance funding requirements for all affected platforms/systems.
- Manage solution delivery to a baselined schedule.
- Provide a basis and supporting materials for briefings to management at the executive and oversight levels for all affected program/project funding requirements.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational and project goals.
- Lead in the preparation of briefing materials and other communications packages presenting the results of analysis.
- Communicate and work with diverse organizations and representatives for data collection, analysis, and results presentation.
- Provide thought leadership clearly demonstrating an understanding of the customer mission and innovative ideas to address business challenges of the customer.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of the Government Acquisition Programs.
- Ability to present analytical results to senior leaders/stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and work with large data sets.
- Strong working knowledge of the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition process.
- Proficiency with uncertainty/risk software packages like Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT), Crystal Ball or SEER for IT.
- Ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervision.
- Experience presenting analytical results to senior leaders/stakeholders.
- Experience working with large data sets.
- Possession of excellent data gathering and analytical skills.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA®) or Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst (PCEA®) certification.
- BA/BS in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- 15 years of DoD cost estimating experience, Navy/Marine Corps experience preferred.
- Experience leading and/or managing teams of up to 10 personnel supporting a portfolio of programs.
- Experience supporting DoD ACAT programs.
