Shipping Role

Job Description:

• Picking orders quickly and accurately

• Treating products with care so they arrive in mint condition

• Packing incoming stock away, taking inventory, and reporting shortages.

• Keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Lifting, wrapping, labeling, and loading products for shipping

• Following all company safety protocols

• Keep work area clean and organized

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs

• Consistently meet deadlines for product orders

• Work within business margins

**Preferred experience - fulfillment center management like Amazon or warehouse requiring management and organization of many product lines.**

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.

• 2 years of work experience in a similar role.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people.

• Proficient with using Shipstation required for this position.

• Physically agile and process-oriented

• Proficient organizational skills
• Part time position/ full time if needed

Shipping Process

• Responsible for enforcing the shipping processes and procedures by working with management and line managers

• Plan the week on Monday by reviewing the packing plan with management

• Holding line managers accountable for processes

• Responsible for management of ShipStation tool for shipping needs and labels including tracking information

• Uploading client information in a consistent naming convention: ORDER #_CLIENT NAME_CURRENT DATE for easy searching

• Responsible for reviewing daily priority lists and printing shipping labels by 1 PM each day for the current day’s orders

• Responsible for reviewing shipping label spreadsheet 72 hours in advance and flagging any missing names to Sales Ops team (Angie, Katie, Madison)

• Freeze shipping label sheet and turn the tab green when completed

• Review event dates and ensuring kits will arrive at least 2 days before the event

• Flag any increases in cost and obtain approval from upper management for all outside of the budget

• Collect order forms for all completed and SHIPPED kits and the end of each day and report on completed kits via email and on afternoon call

• Attend morning and afternoon management meetings to ensure priorities are clear, no changes have been made, and to report completion/issues

• Ensuring no kits are left in the queue without labels or documentation and following up with kits in queue

• Working with Sales Ops team to ensure last-minute items have been captured and reviewed daily (Katie)

• Ensure all kits have been placed on the truck for the day

International Shipments

• Ensuring international shipments are flagged 1 week in advance and sent out in a timely manner

• Hit shipping deadlines

Quality Assurance

• Ensure shipping labels are accurately placed on kits by cross-checking kit type, client name, and order number and signing off on the order form

• Assigning packers a shipping station to drop off kits

• Ensuring the shipping station is clean and empty before leaving for the day

• Ensure chef is on the label list to receive a kit

• Courier Planning / Pick-ups

• Ensuring there are 2 courier pick-ups daily when there are more than 150 kits ready for pick-up

• Ensuring pick-ups are timely and do not jeopardize the deadline

Cost-Effectiveness & Savings

• Managing courier relationships and finding opportunities for improved rates and enhancements

• Flagging any rate discrepancies before shipping and obtaining approval for increases

• Flagging any risk in advance

• Void any unused labels to ensure cost savings

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
