The Software Developer is a direct-hire position working for HGA at our corporate office in Ruston, LA.

HGA is seeking a motivated, highly-collaborative, self-starter who is comfortable owning and driving the development of new features and services, and possesses a successful track record of building software products in an agile development environment.

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Executing full lifecycle software development
  • Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
  • Integrate components into a fully functional system
  • Document and maintain software functionality
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • 1 years’ experience with Python and Django
  • 1 years’ experience with SQL (MS SQL / Postgres)
  • Proficient understanding of Git version control system
  • Working experience deploying and supporting software solutions in a production environment.
  • Knowledgeable on best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Experience scaling web applications as well as working with Heroku and/or AWS is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• Candidates must be within daily commuting distance of Ruston, LA to be considered.
