What you will do:
- Design controls systems for assembly and test equipment needed to support production processes.
- Develop code and programs for equipment controls and user interfaces using several different platforms (C, C , PLC)
- Generate schematics and drawings for control systems.
- Perform pneumatic assembly and electrical wiring.
- Oversees equipment builds, qualifications, and implementations.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers at all manufacturing sites.
- Investigate new technologies for manufacturing process needs.
- DFMA analysis of both new and existing products
- Provide technical advice and support for AME and R&D Engineering.
- Assist in troubleshooting existing production equipment.
- Other assignments as deemed appropriate by the supervisor and/or manager.
- 10-20% work travel required.
Additional Qualifications Include:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
- 3 years' professional experience in a similar role, 5-10 years' professional experience preferred.
- C, C , PLC, and HMI programming and diagnostics experience.
- Extensive knowledge of electronic parts and specifications.
- Strong leadership skills working in a collaborative environment.
- Proven Project Management experience.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Experience assisting with NPIs.
- 2D AutoCAD and schematic creation.
- Powered holding and test equipment design experience.
- Experience with robotic and automated cells, preferred.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, Creo preferred.
- Capital equipment procurement experience, preferred.
