Logistics Coordinator

Do you have a passion for freight and shipping procedures? We’re hiring a Logistics Coordinator for our company’s headquarters in Bridgeton, Missouri. If you possess:

• Ability to initiate all shipments of products from St. Louis to designated location including intercompany shipments between headquarters and satellite operations.
• Experience in working with freight companies to negotiate best possible rates and alternatives.
• High school or equivalent required. Additional industry training/knowledge desired.

As a Logistics Coordinator:

What you will do:

• Support the logistics operations by coordinating the transport of heavy-duty products, runways, and racks with assigned carriers.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with logistics service providers and load planning.
• Assist with creating logistics reports and ocean export documentation as required.
• Solve problems for in transit complications.
• Tracking and correcting shipping errors and support Customer Service with all logistics related issues.
• Coordinating with transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with on-time deliveries by monitoring transit times and reporting issues.
• Support logistics operations to ensure accurate freight pricing and reporting of same.
• Support logistics operations by assisting in special projects and other responsibilities as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications Include:

• High school or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Additional industry training/knowledge desired, specifically in logistics.
• Minimum of 2 years of logistics experience, preferably in the transportation industry or manufacturing shipping.
• Excellent communication skills to work with all levels of the company.
• Superior math aptitude.
• The ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
