As an Accounts Payable Clerk:
What you will do:
- Work with vendors regarding payment statuses, remittance addresses and any other issues requiring communication with them
- Receive, print, and sort vendor invoices
- Work with buyers on invoices that have not been received timely to determine whether the parts have been rejected or received but not entered as such
- Identify the correct vendor numbers in the system
- Identify new vendors, address changes and name changes, request W-9s as necessary and submit new vendor / vendor master change requests
- Verify or determine general ledger account coding
- Assemble complete voucher packages
- Key invoices into the system, vouchering parts against the correct purchase order lines as applicable
- Post batches and record batch totals
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some technical accounting training preferred.
- 1-2 years Accounts Payable experience with knowledge of accounting procedures.
- Prior experience/proficiency with Microsoft Excel, math aptitude, and data entry experience.
- Good communication/phone skills.
