Huntington Ingalls Industries - Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. In this role, you will be leading a development team through day-to-day operations throughout the complete development cycle. You will be responsible for setting up and managing the development environment, configuring and maintaining cloud services, and managing CI/CD pipelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need a working knowledge of software tools such as GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm, and AWS. You will have experience leading software development teams, maintaining compliance and security controls, monitoring operations, and improving development processes when needed. You must be highly organized and competent in Agile and DevSecOps principles. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Builds, designs, implements and refines cloud architectures and provides prescriptive guidance across the network and security. Leads early scoping definitions and identifies critical dependencies. Identifies and mitigates technology risks and develops architecture to support processes. Collaborates with functional business units to drive business solutions and direction. Develops and documents framework for integration and implementation of cloud systems. Understands and determines sizing, capacity planning and requirements for infrastructure, network, and security in the cloud offering.
Minimum Qualifications
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- 5 years of experience in a DevSecOps role; 2 years leading teams of 3 or more engineers
- Working knowledge of GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm, and AWS
- Understanding of writing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience creating processes and process documentation
- Must be able to bend, reach, crawl, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with enhanced security checks (secret clearance to start work)
Preferred Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, or related discipline
- 8 years of experience in a DevSecOps role; 4 years leading teams of 5 or more engineers
- Highly skilled in set-up and maintenance of GitLab Environments
- Experience in configuring and maintaining cloud services such as AWS
- Experience working on DoD development projects
- Current or past Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
