Investment Manager
The Investment Manager will oversee the company’s investments, while working closely with the CEO of the company to buy or sell investments that meet the goal of the fund. The ideal candidate for the job will have experience in making investment decisions for portfolios, will communicate new investment products to investors, understand the investor’s needs and will track and reconcile investment values. The candidate must be knowledgeable and have experience in all currencies (crypto currencies, foreign currencies etc), and be versed in trade technology. The candidate must be well versed in hedge fund operations as they will perform the day-to-day of digital assets and investments.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining business relationships and responding to in-bound client queries to meet established sales goals, quotas, and objectives for the Global Trade business. In this role you will proactively manage Trade Finance relationships within the portfolio of existing exporters/Trade finance beneficiaries in order to grow the share of wallet from these existing relationships.
The role requires an Investment Manager that possesses structure, attention to detail, strong communication skills, quality focus, enthusiasm, flexibility and professionalism in a high-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in corporate strategy initiatives, evaluating opportunities and risks of prospective organic and inorganic investment alternatives
- Understand various idiosyncrasies and conventions of Structured Notes and their related hedges in order to provide SME(Subject-Matter Expertise) support
- Collaborate with various areas across Global Markets such as trading, sales, trade control, risk, credit, COOs, legal, compliance and other operational areas
- Work closely with portfolio management/clients and risk management on the finalization of trades/executions
- Work with internal or external service providers to minimize risk, maximize efficiency and ensure service quality
- collaborate with financial advisors and clients to understand the risks and benefits of incorporating various hedge fund strategies in their asset allocation
- Support the daily trade capture and P&L validation process
- Drive ongoing assessment of company’s capital structure and capital markets opportunities to optimize the company’s cost of capital
- Assess capital needs and manage execution of capital raising initiatives (equity and debt offerings, lending facilities, etc)
- Provide strategic counsel and positioning advice to CFO/CEO on key investor messaging; collaborate with CFO, CEO, and senior executives to devise external communication strategy relating to material corporate actions (earnings, guidance, strategic transactions, etc.)
- Develop an understanding across a variety of products such as foreign exchange options, cross currency swaps, interest rate swaps, caps, floors, etc.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Wholesale Credit, Risk and Global Markets Trading partners
- Contribute to the formulation of a view on individual currencies and associated hedging recommendation
- Assist with the execution and maintenance of foreign exchange hedges
- Analyze and report on company data and crypto industry trends to drive continuous improvement and optimization
- Expand the portfolio of Trade Finance relationships while developing a database of major importers and exporters and constructively engage with these clients on Trade Finance solutions
Skills Required
- Familiar with all currencies ( Crypto currencies, Foreign currencies)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Proactive, detail oriented, team player with strong organizational/multi-tasking skill set
- Strong working knowledge of hedge fund and private credit products with an emphasis on subscription, redemption, transfer, capital call and distribution processing
- Knowledge of Transfer Agent, Fund Administrators, Custody Operations and Foreign Exchange functions
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within the business and throughout the organization
- Understanding product needs and implement adequate procedures and improvements across products
- Strong database knowledge required - Specifically Microsoft Excel
- Basic knowledge of High Water Mark, Side Pockets, Incentive Fees, Management Fees and Liquidity in the Hedge Fund business
