Traveling Superintendent

Hurricane Fence Company is a prominent fence company with several locations in Virginia and North Carolina. Our company specializes in commercial, industrial, residential and government fence work and has been in business for 29 years. We frequently complete high-profile government and industrial projects around the country. We are searching for an additional Superintendent for our Richmond, VA office OR Clayton, NC office OR Norfolk, VA office. *You do not have to live in these areas but living close to the offices is preferable.

Willing to travel for 1-3 -week periods at a time and frequently travel out of state.

Essential Functions of a Superintendent

· Willing to travel to and between multiple sites.

· Follow all jobsite safety requirements.

· Effectively supervise 2-3 separate crews between one or multiple large-scale sites.

· Work with crew foremen to keep crew on task in order to reach deadlines for project.

· Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.

· Act as onsite Safety Coordinator.

· Fill out Daily Reports, JSA, JHA, and any other required documents.

· Complete in-progress and final inspections with General Contractor.

· Frequently measure fence line to ensure accurate reporting.

· Act as connection between various groups onsite.

· Attend meetings with General Contractor or Owner as needed.

· Represent Hurricane Fence Co in a professional and courteous manner.

· Maintain positive relationship with General Contractor, Owner, Vendors, and Customers.

· May be required to work weekends dependent on project and jobsite requirements.

· The essential functions of this position will frequently exceed and 8-hour work day, dependent on current project.

Skills and Experience:

· Construction experience (Preferred)

· OSHA 30 (Preferred)

· Superintendent experience (preferred)

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

· Proficient in use of Outlook, MS Office Word, and Excel.

· Outstanding organizational skills.

· Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications and other documents.

COMPENSATION: Salary, Milestone incentives, Health insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, 401K, Paid time off, and Holiday pay

SALARY: $50-$60k dependent on experience; Quarterly performance bonus
