Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Record Financial Transactions:
· Enter daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses into the accounting software or ledger.
· Ensure all transactions are accurately categorized and posted to the appropriate accounts.
2. Reconciliation:
· Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
· Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities promptly.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
· Manage accounts payable by verifying and processing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments.
· Handle accounts receivable by issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
4. Financial Reporting:
· Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
· Provide financial reports to management for analysis and decision-making.
· Prepare Annual Budget and report on a monthly basis Budget verse Actual.
5. Payroll Processing:
· Calculate and process employee payroll, including deductions, taxes, and benefits.
· Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
6. Tax Compliance:
· Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings.
· Keep up-to-date with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
7. Financial Analysis:
· Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
· Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
8. Documentation and Record Keeping:
· Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
· Ensure compliance with record retention policies.
9. Budgeting:
· Assist in creating and monitoring budgets, helping to track expenses and revenues against budgeted amounts.
10. Communication:
· Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and clients to resolve financial issues and answer inquiries.
· Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial team members or stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.
· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
· Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
