Tasks include, but not limited to, e bike maintenance checks, e bike set up, rides and cleaning e bikes. Safely fit customers to the proper size and type bike for their intended riding. Will perform safety inspections of every bike upon return and adjust, and repair bike drivetrains, stems/handlebars, hydraulic disc brakes, suspension, and dropper posts, and educate customers in the use of these components. Will change tubes, tires, and true wheels. Knowledge of Schweitzer trails and facilities. Keep bikes and work area clean and neat. Maintain and work closely with other departments, such as Activity Center, Rental and Repairs, and Patrol. REQUIREMENTS: Must be available for weekends and holidays through Labor Day. Must be 18 years of age. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Contribute to the overall vision, direction and implementation of hosted e bike rides by performing the following: Work closely with the Activity Center staff to provide a great guest experience. Maintain a friendly and outgoing attitude. Operate a RAD powered e bike Assist and coach guests through their adventures. Become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain facilities and trails. Perform other duties assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Responsible for up to 6 hours of biking/ standing/ walking/ moving per shift. Will walk and ride over uneven surfaces. Will lift up to 70 pounds frequently. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, spin, dance, twist and reach above shoulder level frequently. Worksite is exposed to all moisture levels and temperature changes. Hazards are variable weather conditions. Hearing, speech, sight, walking and bike riding are required. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Excellent people/ relationship building skills. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. ATTRIBUTES: Detailed, accurate, organized and a great attitude. Excellent rapport with guests. Attention to safety and cleanliness in the workplace. EDUCATION: Some college preferred EXPERIENCE: Guest service experience. Outdoor enthusiast and knowledge of mountain environment preferred. LICENSE NEEDED: Must have or be willing to obtain cpr/ first aid certification UNIFORM: Company uniform shirt will be provided. Must provide own gloves, hat, shorts/ pants. MACHINES, PROGRAMS AND TOOLS OPERATED: RAD powered e bike, garden hose, Air compressor, shock pumps, screwdrivers, wrenches, tire levers, pliers and misc. hand tools.
