JOB TITLE / DEPARTMENT: Non-certified Ski Instructor - $18 /hour
POSITION TYPE: Seasonal (Part-time)
PAY RATE: $18 /hour
SUPERVISORY: No
SUPERVISED BY: Ski and Ride School Managers and Supervisors
POSITION SUMMARY: Ski and Ride School coaches are responsible for the successful implementation of a quality lesson as outlined in the Ski and Ride school handbook and training manuals. Success is measured by guest satisfaction, employee experience, and the acquisition of skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS:
- Teaches beginner zone ski lessons utilizing PSIA/AASI methodology.
- Teaches mainly 4 to 17 year-old first time to beginner ski lessons.
- Season long certification and elective training programs are available to all Ski and Ride School staff throughout the season.
- Part-time instructors are expected to work 2-4 days a week and full-time instructors are expected to work 5-6 days a week.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to ski/snowboard at least at an intermediate level
- Excellent and professional verbal communication skills are necessary
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to develop in the realms of people, teaching and technical skills
- Growth mindset with the desire to collaborate, equip, communicate and encourage.
- Previous experience working with kids is preferred.
