Director of Operations

In a commercial refrigeration and HVAC setting plan, guide, and direct the total operations of a branch operations area to achieve branch and operations objectives for employee safety, growth, profitability, customer service, inventory management, cash flow, talent development, and delivering our overall Hussmann promise. The area of responsibility for this position is Texas and the Gulf Coast region with some scientific business customers located nationally.

• Guide and direct branch and district functions in the establishment and implementation of procedures and controls that will assure conformance with customer requirements. Drive a customer focused culture that adheres to our internal compliance guidelines
• Improve profitability of Hussmann districts through recommendations and management of branch cost improvements as well as productivity enhancement initiatives
• Foster an organization that delivers top tier customer service in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Leverage operational excellence tools and initiatives such as installation productivity applications, service contract management tools, fleet cost improvement tools, and power business intelligence dashboards
• Lead and implement an overall branch environment conducive to quality and cost improvements, multi-directional communications and buy-in on operations objectives
• Facilitate and maintain positive employee relations; drive communication within a diverse workforce to support a culture of employee involvement and empowerment
• Develop and provide leadership to a team of highly effective staff managers to achieve continued profitability and operational improvements
• Leverage performance metrics such as balanced scorecards, annual operating plans, and performance management plans to drive accountability to the appropriate levels of the organization
• Direct branch operations in a safe, effective and environmentally responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and guideline
• Nationwide travel as required

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, operations management or equivalent desirable
• Experience with managing regional- and national-level customers preferred
• Minimum 10 years of field operations experience in a related or similar field with background in a service and construction environment
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with profit and loss responsibility
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple locations
