Manage Audit Function
- Manages multiple, high-impact engagements simultaneously and provides guidance to audit and project team members.
- Reviews financial reports for audit reviews and compilations engagements.
- Possesses critical thinking for problem solving and effectively communicate solutions to problems.
- Provides meaningful recommendations for clients, if applicable.
- Makes presentations to overseeing partner(s).
- Manages complex audit engagements.
- Stays current on accounting pronouncements and recent industry development.
- Researches complex accounting issues and provide guidance to clients on such.
- Provides high level of professional service and quality.
- Addresses any and all concerns of clients in a timely manner.
- Maintains and develop good working relationships with clients and client personnel.
- Maintains open communication with directors and Firm partners.
- Utilizes firm resources in providing “full service” to our clients.
- Participates in preparation of proposals to prospect.
- Maintains open communication with directors and Firm partners.
- Develops relationships with business contacts and potential referral sources.
- Develops ability for practice developments by attending networking functions.
- Assumes leadership role in developing and mentoring staff.
- Participates in recruiting events and interviewing. Makes hiring recommendations to partners.
- Addresses performance issues and conducts formal performance evaluations of the team.
- Provides feedback to supervisors to ensure completion of high-quality work.
- Motivates the team to maintain high standards of productivity and quality.
- Problem solves all issues with productivity or skill with supervisors.
- Handles any employee complaints and issues in accordance with firm complaint handling procedure.
- Conducts team trainings within the home office and conducts firm-wide trainings
- Works independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Follows all policies and procedures established by firm.
- Enters time daily to ensure current and accurate tracking of hours.
- Assigns hours to each client to ensure accurate billing.
- Follows safety rules according to firm Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Accepts special projects as assigned
Education
- Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus.
- CPA Certification required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to travel to client locations.
- Minimum Experience Required: 6 years of experience in public accounting
- Exceptional understanding of accounting theory and accounting practices.
- Exceptional ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional understanding of auditing guidance utilized by the firm.
- Exceptional understanding of the rules, regulations, and code of conduct.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Exceptional skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel including advanced Excel functions, and Caseware.
- High level of enthusiasm to work collaboratively in a team environment to meet and exceed expectations for internal and external clients.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, able to work with minimal direction in a high pressure environment.
- Works independently and is self-motivated to complete tasks and assignments with a minimum amount of supervision and is flexible to accept tasks and projects.
- Upholds the professional standards of conduct for respectful behavior and demonstrates a high degree of personal integrity.
