H.A. Automotive is looking to hire a Production Supervisor who is going to be responsible for overseeing daily production on injection molding, anti-fog coating machines and related assembly lines while ensuring overall productivity within the department.
General supervision of colleagues including delegating of responsibilities, scheduling of parts to run and the issuing of job assignments.
This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Essential Duties
1. Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and preventing injuries through the use of, but not limited to, 6S, job rotation, and ergonomic work practices.
2. Analyze and control production scheduling and capacity requirements.
3. Follow all IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.
4. Adherence to company policies and regulations.
5. Observe production operations to ascertain compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, production standards, and efficient operation of equipment.
Take corrective action to eliminate any deviation from the pre-established hourly production rate.
6. Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve all areas.
7. Assign daily job requirements to all direct reports on a daily basis. This includes team leaders, machine operators, material handlers and quality inspectors.
8. Responsible to process all non-conforming parts and products to ensure accurate inventory accounts within department.
9. Interface with Quality Department on Corrective and Preventive actions for customer complaints and internal quality issues.
10. Work with the Operations leadership and Manufacturing Engineering to minimize manpower required on jobs to maximize production output.
11. Understand and positively impact Key Performance Indicators balancing safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost, scrap, labor and morale to achieve superior results in all areas.
12. Continuously analyze the assigned area of responsibility for improved methods of production, communication, reporting, cost controls, and make recommendations to the appropriate departments to maximize efficiency.
13. Plan and execute the daily / weekly production utilization schedule using SAP & MES
14. Conduct daily Fast Response Meetings
15. Ensure that first shot approval is obtained from Quality Inspectors.
16. Document all problems and process changes and provide action plans with manager.
17. Daily communication with various departments and all levels of management through email, telephone, face-to-face is necessary in order to optimize the efficiency of the operations.
18. Implement BIQS / MQRRS procedures
19. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
1. Associate degree
2. Must have 2-3 years SAP experience, Production Planning and MRP
3. Strong leadership skills
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Experience in SAP Bill of Materials, Routings and Production Versions
6. Good interpersonal skills
7. Knowledge of product manufacturing process
8. Strong computer skills with MS Office knowledge
9. 2-3 years experience in Plastic Injection Molding and Assembly Environment
10.Basic understanding of OSHA standards
Preferred Qualifications-Not Required
1. bachelors degree in business, manufacturing or related field
2. 2-3 years experience in a Production Supervision Role
