Department: School of Nursing
Work Hours: 40 hours/week
Full time Med-Surg Instructor. Actively functions as a faculty member in the School of Nursing. Provides theoretical and clinical experiences for students, based on sound educational principles and the approved School of Nursing Curriculum in a team teaching environment. Provides educational experiences to prepare students to function as entry level registered nurses. Collaborates with peers, clinical manager/director, staff and community resources to ensure continuity of quality patient care and fulfillment of student learning outcomes. Participates in School of Nursing program evaluation activities and school and health system committees.
Requirements
Required: Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing. Current Pennsylvania license. Master Degree in Nursing. BLS. Minimum 5 years clinical experience in an acute care setting. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred: Master Degree in Nursing Education. Two years educational experience.
