What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Tech position at HVHS Brand?
The MRI technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging at Heritage Valley Health System. MRI radiographs must be diagnostic and of high quality, performed in an efficient and productive manner while providing a high level of patient care. The technologist must perform at a level of competence that does not require constant supervision of technical detail. The technologist must have an understanding of equipment, protocols and procedures related to MRI. The MRI technologist must have an understanding of and be able to effectively utilize all required applications of RIS and PACS. Performs screening effectively to provide the patient and operator safety from magnetic hazard. Must demonstrate professionalism, work compatibly and communicate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and students. Must have the ability and poise to deal with multiple types of situations and must be flexible and adaptable to change.
Requirements Must be a high school graduate. Must have an ARRT certification in Radiology. Must be a graduate of an accredited school. Must have two years of MRI experience or may consider a graduate of HVHS MRI Program. Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
Preferred: Four years experience in sectional imaging. ARRT certification in MRI.
