Junior Interior Designer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, responsible Interior Design & Home Staging Assistant to join our growing organization and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in staging/interior design and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

Job Summary

• This assistant would help the staging director to research a property, quickly determine the style of furniture and accessories to be used, pull those items from the warehouse, and work with an experienced moving team to place items in the property.

General Accountabilities

• Manage the process of furnishing and equipment selection, purchasing, and installation so staging is finished in a timely manner

• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, take some direction, and get the job done on time and within budget

• Must possess a good eye for various designs, interested and/or experienced in interiors, art, or decorating

• Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.

Job Qualifications

• Experience: at least 1 years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Bilingual in English and Chinese required

• Experience managing a home installation or construction crew (preferred)

• Experience staging homes preferred but not required

• Deadline driven and organized; able to prioritize as needed to get the job done

• Strong time management and problem-solving skills

• Willing to work in multiple environments — shifting between the warehouse in El Monte and staged homes throughout the Los Angeles Area

• Hard-working, flexible, and always work to exceed expectations

• A self-starter who is good at taking direction and running with it

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Internship

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
